Welcome

To serve, protect and advance the interests of the beef industry in Saskatchewan through communication, education, research and advocacy to help ensure a prosperous, viable and healthy future for individuals and the livestock industry.

The spirit of which the Saskatchewan Stockgrowers was founded back in 1913 was captured and retold in a book, "Beyond the Range." Written by Past SSGA President, Mr. Boyd Anderson, he captured the vision of the original board and members through this well researched book. The Canadian Cattlemen's Association (CCA)

SSGA is the provincial affiliate of the Canadian Cattlemen's Association (CCA). SSGA is allotted four delegates on the CCA Board of Directors.

The Canadian Cattlemen's Association is the only national association representing the interests of Canada's 90,000 beef producers. Twenty-seven producers from eight provinces make up the Canadian Cattlemen's Association Board of Directors. The Canadian Cattlemen's Association provides leadership and unity necessary to speak as one voice for the beef industry. This includes assisting in its development, adaptation to new ideas and technologies, and in its prosperity. The Canadian Cattlemen's Association is structured to represent every phase of the production system; the purebred, cow/calf, back grounding and feedlot sectors. The Canadian Cattlemen's Association is involved in issues concerning Canadian beef producers. In addition the Canadian Cattlemen's Association works closely with other sectors of the agriculture and food industries on matters of mutual concern.
